THE RIGHT NOW ANNOUNCE MAY TOUR DATES

After four successful SXSW shows and a Midwest tour in early spring, The Right Now venture east from Chicago and have confirmed May tour dates.


The Right Now is equal parts swagger and emotion, 100% soul, fully authentic, inside and out. This eight-piece band from the Windy City released their debut album, Carry Me Home, in 2010 to much acclaim and landed on WXRT’s local show’s “Best of 2010.” One of the tracks from Carry Me Home, “I’ll Get Down,” was featured on CSI (CBS) in February 2011.


For Record Store Day 2011, the band debuted 2 new songs, “If I Wanted To” and “I Am Who I Say I Am,” on a double A-side 45 which is available in local record stores, online retailers, the band website, as well at their live shows.

THE RIGHT NOW ANNOUNCES NEXT CHICAGO LIVE DATE: SATURDAY, APRIL 16, 2011 @ MARTYRS’ NEW 7-INCH SINGLE TO COINCIDE WITH RECORD STORE DAY

After four successful SXSW shows and a Midwest tour this spring, The Right Now returns home to Chicago with a new live date and single to celebrate Record Store Day on Saturday, April 16, 2011. The band debuts 2 new songs, “If I Wanted To” and “I Am Who I Say I Am,” on a double A-side 45 which will be available in local record stores, online retailers, the band website, as well at their live shows.

These two songs are from a new recording session for The Right Now’s upcoming album, which will be released in early 2012.


Singer Stefanie Berecz previews, “I think fans of our last album, Carry Me Home, will be pleasantly surprised by the edginess of these two new songs. The Right Now has confirmed tour dates this spring including SXSW where the band will perform at JBTV presents SXCHI at The Trophy Room at 8:15pm. This eight-piece band from Chicago released the debut album, Carry Me Home, in 2010 with much acclaim and landed on WXRT’s local show’s “Best of 2010.”
