CORNERSHOP
CORNERSHOP RELEASES NEW ALBUM ON APRIL 20, 2010
Cornershop will release Judy Sucks A Lemon For Breakfast on April 20, 2010 in North America through their label, Ample Play. Released in the UK and Europe this past summer to critics’ delight, this is the follow up to 2002’s critically acclaimed Handcream For A Generation. North American tour dates are planned for this fall. Listen to the album here: http://cornershop.com/shop.htmlDownload Press Release
The heavy-duty anthem, “Who Fingered Rock’n’Roll,” launches the album and reflects the changes in the music industry, something this British institution knows something about. The track “The Roll Off Characteristics” shows they have lost none of their politics and became a download must in Spin magazine.
CORNERSHOP: New USA DATES, NEW MATERIAL, FURTHER NEW MATERIAL
Cornershop are to revisit America (the first time in 8 years) to help push their current album Judy Sucks A Lemon For Breakfast which Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore claims “is the last Great British album.” The release date for a new digital EP will be timed with these tour dates, and more details will be announced shortly.Download Press Release Download Press Release Download Press Release

A brand new Cornershop album featuring Bubbley Kaur is due out worldwide in February 2011 on Ample Play. A close label source says, “Cornershop are very upbeat about the new material, and they should be, it’s outstanding and immediate” and in line with why Paul Morley at The Observer (UK) has described the band “as interesting and adventurous as The Beatles.”
